Big Local Gateshead is seeking to commission two artists to work in the Teams and Bensham area over a 3 month period in any arts discipline.

We are a resident-led community project with our own small centre and community allotment, excellent links into local schools, care homes, healthcare provision, and other partner organisations, and a dedicated core of local volunteers. We are seeking projects that would engage young people living in the area, or those who have become socially isolated due to the national pandemic.

Proposals should seek to:

• Include and empower local people in your creative process
• Increase the visibility of Big Local Gateshead and promote our aims 

We are open to any art form which can accomplish the above. Artists are welcome to
submit collaborative proposals, and arts organisations are equally welcome to apply.
