Developing best practice in community music

Sound Sense is a membership organisation for community musicians in professional practice. To ensure we support our members in as many ways as we can, we work to keep up to date on the latest developments in community practice. Where we can, we also actively engage in the debate, aiming to improve practice through our advocacy and policy work.

Sound Sense proud to be part of MEC

The Music Education Council draws its membership from across the entire music education and music industry sectors. Through its corporate members MEC represents tens of thousands of music educators across the UK. This gives it a uniquely big picture of music education and is why MEC is the umbrella body for all UK organisations connected with music education.
