I'm a musician based in west Cumbria, UK and my practice includes performance, composition, teaching / training, community music and research. I perform in various guises and lead various CM projects including a couple of community choirs in the Natural Voice (NVN) tradition. My approach is grounded in a belief that music is about the performance of ‘relationships’ as much as it is the performance of ‘works’. I'm Lecturer in Music Education at the Royal College of Music and Trinity-Laban Conservatoire in London. My research focuses on group singing, music health and wellbeing, musician training and Community Music.
