Funding for working with young people in London
Date posted: 17 January 2019
Sound Connections, a Sound Sense member, is inviting applications for two programmes for 2019 to support music projects for children and young people in London

Innovate is Sound Connections’ longstanding programme supporting music projects for children and young people in London. If you are working with people age 0-25 in London through music then you can apply for support and investment of up to £2000 to explore new ideas and approaches to working with children and young people. Providing funding, project mentoring and support, Innovate is particularly aimed at individuals and grassroots organisations looking to launch or incubate a project idea and develop fundraising skills.

IMPACT Bursary Programme

If you are working with people age 0-25 in London, through music, you can apply for a bursary of up to £600 to develop your organisation’s confidence, knowledge and skills in:

- Evaluation and impact
- Social justice – eg inclusion, accessibility, diversity and youth voice.

The bursaries can cover a range of activities from attending relevant training to receiving coaching, or doing a small piece of action research. Sound Connections can connect you to different experts, mentors or trainers to support bursary activity.

Application deadline for both programmes is Friday 15 March.
