About the Role
We are offering a paid Trainee Creative Learning Assistant role for an early-career practitioner (up to age 25) interested in youth music, creative learning and community arts delivery. This role is part of our Stirling Sounds project funded by Youth Music Initiative.

This is a supported, developmental role embedded across all strands of the Stirling Sounds programme including Tolbooth Youth Voices (a singing group for primary school aged children), Stirling Mini Melodies (a music group for babies and toddlers and their carers), Gig In A Week (a school holiday workshop for teenagers) and Pump Up The Jam (a term time band and songwriting workshop for teenagers).

Key Responsibilities
• Shadow and support freelance tutors across sessions
• Gradually co-deliver and lead parts of workshops
• Assist with session planning, attendance logging and evaluation
• Support performances and events
• Participate in mentoring, CPD and safeguarding training

This role is ideal for someone who:
• Is interested in working in youth music or community arts
• Has some musical background (formal or informal)
• Wants hands-on experience in inclusive creative delivery
• Is reliable, curious and keen to learn

No formal teaching experience required — support and mentoring are central to the role.

Pay
You will receive an equal monthly payment (1/12th of the annual total) regardless of the hours worked that specific month.

If you’ve got the right skills for the job we want to hear from you. We encourage applications from the right candidates regardless of age, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, belief or race.
