This is a freelance work from home position for a six month term, 20 hours per week.
Intergenerational Music Making (IMM) in partnership with Care England launched ‘Together with Music’ in December 2020 as a response to the pandemic. TwM is a programme working to create intergenerational links with every care home and school / youth group throughout the UK using music as the catalyst.
We are seeking Connectors based in these regions: Scotland, Wales, North West England, South West England.
The role of Connector includes:
- Managing the back office website (member approval, admin and content approval)
- Being first point of contact for TwM members in the relevant region
- Communicating effectively with members individually as well as collectively (bi-weekly update emails)
- Ensuring an intergenerational link is found for new members - actively pursuing links if not already available
- Supporting and guiding members through the TwM journey of connection
- Keeping up to date with admin (managing regional spreadsheet, reporting back to TwM team manager bi-weekly on progress and aims for coming week)
- Promoting and engaging new members via research and networking (eg. local councils, umbrella organisations and associations)
Experience needed:
- Working on back office of website not essential, but preferable. Full training provided
- Office programmes - word, excel, powerpoint and use of Googledrive
- Liaising with community groups, education sector and / or care sector
- Building relationships with others - eg. clients / customers
- Local contacts and links with community is a bonus but the ideal candidate will be self motivated and able to effectively network / research in order to expand the reach of the programme
Rate of pay: £15/hour (maximum of 80 hours to be invoiced each month)
