Job description

Omnimusic is a small charity that uses specialist technology, some of which is developed by ourselves, to enable disabled people to make and perform music. We would like to grow and share our expertise through developing imaginative music projects and training up new tutors to help deliver these projects.

We need a dedicated fund raiser who can:

1. Research and identify Funding Bodies, Trusts and Foundations whose priorities align with the organisation's work and specific projects.
2. Manage the stewardship of Funding Bodies, Trusts and Foundations prospects, ensuring that, where possible, relationships are built with funders to understand their priorities and what they are interested in funding.
3. Complete high quality applications and proposals to Funding Bodies, Trusts and Foundations, ensuring that deadlines are met and that all relevant information is provided.
4. Work with Trustees and the Director to identify current funding needs and any potential future funding needs.
5. Complete a short monthly report to record progress and lodge with the charity copies of all bids and agreements.

Experience & skills

1. Demonstrable experience of securing grants from Trusts and Foundations
2. Demonstrable experience of writing high quality applications to funders
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
4. Excellent time management and organisation skills
5. The capability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
6. Carrying out a range of administrative tasks as and when time permits
7. Resilience, particularly when faced with setbacks

This post is offered on a freelance basis, 1 day a week for 30 weeks, for a fee of £210/day. It will be based at Omnimusic's base in the centre of Stockport.
