This is a part-time (3 days per week) fixed-term 18 month position from November 2021 – April 2023.

Sound Connections is a development organisation championing young people’s music-making, with inclusivity and social justice at the heart. We facilitate Wired4Music, a network for creatives aged 16-25 powered by youth voice; we run a dynamic programme of professional development; and we lead ground-breaking research, advocacy and change programmes. We also run a thriving consultancy service, which in recent years has taken us across the UK and beyond to countries including Poland, Lebanon and Jordan.

We are looking for an experienced Programme Manager who will focus on delivering and developing our Wired4Music programme and our youth voice training, advocacy and consultancy activities across the country.

Essential criteria:

• Background and recent experience of working with children & young people of different ages, and from different walks of life.
• Minimum 5+ years of managing projects and programmes in culture, education or youth work setting.
• Demonstrable understanding of, and commitment to, youth voice and participation including experience of delivering activities grounded in the principles of youth voice and participation, including consulting and collaborating with young people.
• Experience of producing a range of creative events, programmes and workshops; working alongside young people to create and deliver these.
• Experience of facilitating meetings and events with young people.
• Experience of programme development and strategy.
