MUSINC Practitioner Support Internship 2020

MUSINC is offering the opportunity to enable a musician to develop their skills and broaden their experience and understanding of musical inclusion

This opportunity is open to people of any age, at any stage in their career but have a genuine commitment to working with young people in challenging circumstances and who live and/or work in the Teesside area.

You will be working alongside the MUSINC team based in the Old Box Office at Middlesbrough Town Hall, TS1 2QJ and you will develop your own individual programme of work which could include:

  • Visiting MUSINC projects
  • Shadowing music leaders
  • Work towards events (e.g. Young Peoples Gathering)
  • Shadowing the MUSINC team and assisting with aspects of project management and admin
  • 1:1 with line managers to look at progress
  • Work alongside MUSINC partners e.g. Safe in Tees Valley and Youth Focus to develop and deliver the MUSINC Legends strand of work.

This opportunity is offered on the basis of up to 24 days, paid at a rate of £67.50 per day (£9 per hour), over a three month period. This would usually be 2 days per week split between working in the office and out shadowing music leaders, but can be worked flexibly.

Contract time: April to June 2020.
