This is ideally a live-in carer position, however a weekday carer will be considered for the right person. Only male musicians need apply.


A private household is seeking a kind and patient candidate to care for an active, fully mobile 87 year old man with vascular dementia who enjoys playing his violin and gardening. Experience as a carer or with people with dementia is beneficial but not required. Preferably, the candidate will be classically trained on a string instrument but all musicians considered.

This position will include working with the client's wife and daughter on a daily basis to care for the client. Key duties will include:

• Promoting client's safety
• Medication prompting
• Dressing assistance
• Musical sessions with client
• Light evening meal prep (lunch already provided)
• Odd jobs around the house and garden
