Sing Education source and train music teachers, develop teaching resources and provide management and consultancy services to schools in London.

We provide each Sing Education teacher with over 70 hours per year of in-house training covering our schemes of work, running extra-curricular activities, classroom management and more. We have a growing team of over 25 highly motivated, skilled music teachers.

Teaching typically includes:

• Weekly teaching, full school day - 8.45am-3.30/4.30pm, term time
• Permanent placement in a Sing Education primary school/s (Our primary schools are located across the boroughs of Hillingdon, Ealing, Hounslow, Kensington & Chelsea, Hackney and Brent.)
• Singing-led curricular whole-class music lessons - Nursery to Year 6
• Singing assemblies
• Choirs, lunchtime and after school clubs

Person specification:

• University graduate with a good degree in music or a related field
• Classroom or one-to-one teaching experience
• Experience of working with children or young people in a teaching or leadership capacity
• Strong singing voice and confidence to lead lessons and assemblies with the singing voice
• Excellent spoken and written English
• A degree of ICT literacy and ability to use online systems such as G Suite and other communication platforms
