The Big Sing is an interactive performance where pupils gather from across Worcestershire to sing prepared pieces as part of a huge singing workshop. It is an exciting and motivational opportunity for children and teachers alike to be part of a large-scale musical experience, led by world renowned singing leader, Ula Weber. The event is for primary age pupils, from year 3 upwards (KS2).
Next year’s event will take place on Thursday, 16 June 2022 at the University of Worcester Arena. Further details will be announced shortly.
Severn Arts is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic music practitioner or composer/arranger with experience of leading creative work with schools, children and young people, to plan and facilitate eight song-writing and composition workshops in four Worcestershire primary schools, based on the theme of the Queen’s Jubilee.
Using the lyrics and composition ideas developed in these workshops, you will then create one song, with accompanying score, by the end of February 2022. This will be sent to primary schools across Worcestershire for pupils to learn and perform at The Big Sing event on the 16 June 2022.
The fee is £1700
