Are you passionate about inclusive music opportunities and access to music for all? Are you interested to join charity Melody as a trustee?

Melody has recently secured BBC Children in Need Funding to sustain our important work at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire which provides musical opportunities to children and young people with learning disabilities, as well as vital training and professional development opportunities to music students.
Our research (Pickard and Rushton, 2020) has shown that the ‘Melody Music Birmingham’ provision at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire has significantly impacted the career trajectories of several professional musicians, and enabled children, young people and adults with learning disabilities in Birmingham and the surrounding areas to access high
quality musical provision.

To sustain and expand our ‘Melody Music Birmingham’ offer, we are looking to recruit new trustees to support and invigorate our important work. We would particularly welcome colleagues with experience in recruitment, marketing and development, but knowledge, experience and passion for accessible, inclusive music making is also important.
