This is a permanent part-time position, 21 hours per week (worked flexibly).
Reporting directly to the CEO, this new and essential role will help us to promote and embed an inclusive and supportive culture underpinned by the social model of disability.
Key tasks:
- Researching, applying and promoting inclusion and wellbeing initiatives and sharing best practice
- Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of equality legislation and translating this into practice to ensure our organisation meets statutory requirements
- Providing advice, guidance and support on inclusion and wellbeing issues
- Promoting changes within our organisation and across our networks
- Writing, implementing and reviewing organisational policies, procedures and guides.
Skills, Experience, and Knowledge:
- Lived experience of disability
- A commitment to the principles of equality, diversity and inclusion
- A thorough understanding of the social model of disability
- A thorough understanding of equality legislation
