OneRen is seeking to appoint a musician who will engage and work with local community groups to create original compositions that will be played by Paisley Town Hall’s clock chimes.

As part of Paisley Town Hall’s transformation, the Chimes Project will see the restoration of the town hall’s historic carillon - a unique keyboard instrument consisting of a range of bells housed within the tallest of the two towers.

Through creative workshops, the musician should aim to explore significant moments in Paisley’s historical and contemporary life, which will be used as stimulus for the melodies composed by the community groups. The Musician will then work alongside participants to co-produce a live event where their new repertoire of tunes will be showcased to a local audience.
