We are looking for a part-time freelance singing group leader to join the Sing Your Pain Away team!

You will initially be running one weekly dementia choir session (during choir terms), based in the Camberley area. This currently takes place on a Monday afternoon but there may be flexibility to change the day/time to suit the right candidate.

We supply all resources including a lesson plan for each session, song words for participants, sheet music for you the leader, backing tracks for all songs and advice and support. All administration is handled centrally, and volunteers will be there to provide practical support and hot drinks at the session, so you can focus purely on delivering a fun, uplifting session.

This is an incredibly fulfilling and rewarding role for someone with an interest in community music/singing for health/singing for dementia. The role is a maternity cover for at least 6 months, start date May 2024, with training/handover from the current leader in April. For the right person there could also be the option of an ongoing role within SYPA if desired.
