This role is on a 12 month fixed term contract.
This role is one of two project managers in the RPO’s Community and Education department responsible for implementing an ambitious orchestral community and education programme, RPO Resound, both nationally and internationally, as part of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’s vision and business plan.
RPO Resound engages over 9,000 participants a year with the Orchestra and its musicians, offering a
diverse programme of quality creative learning and participatory projects. Responding to the specific
needs of the communities it serves, RPO Resound encompasses work in schools and special schools,
local and community based activities, partnerships with music services and cultural education
providers, a strong Arts & Health strand, and further enrichment activities supporting the Orchestra’s
concerts and residencies.
We are looking for someone who has;
- considerable project management experience in arts, community and education settings, with a proven track record of delivering sustained projects in these fields.
- a solid, practical understanding of planning and delivering large-scale, complex music projects.
- experience designing and implementing effective quality assurance, monitoring and evaluation measures for arts projects.
- experience of managing freelance creatives and workshop leaders
