LYC is looking to appoint a choir conductor for its Girls’ Choir that meets on Monday evenings during term time at LYC’s rehearsal home, the City of London School.

Please note, due to the impact of Covid-19, all choirs presently rehearse online.

We are looking for a person who:

• has experience of working with young voices
• possesses a technical knowledge of the voice and how it develops through
  childhood and into early adolescence
• has the ability to make informed repertoire choices and be able to arrange
  music (when required) in a suitable way for the Choir
• is a keen advocate of the benefits of choral singing for young people
• has substantial experience of working with a diverse range of young people
  and training young voices to a high level

The rate of pay for this freelance position will be in line with Musician Union rates.
