Artist Tutor - Piano

Salary: £22.26 per hour
Hours: 27.5 hours per week (Term Time)

Midlands Arts Centre’s Learning and Participation programme is extensive with over 150 term courses and a wide selection of short courses for children, young people, and adults. Our courses cover many subjects, from visual arts and crafts to digital arts, performance, music, and wellbeing. We are situated in the leafy Cannon Hill Park, Birmingham. We are recruiting for an artist tutor to teach our piano courses.

Principle Purpose of Post

To deliver the tuition of a 12-week Piano course for adults, as part of MAC’s Learning & Participation programme, starting in Autumn 2026.

We are looking for someone – or multiple people, who are passionate about the arts and informal learning experiences and enjoys teaching music courses and workshops. You will be taking over 5 long running courses in a highly skilled musical discipline.

You are required to be reliable, personable, and flexible, to cater for each student’s personal goals and aims.

The successful candidate will be part of a large team of Artist Tutors who help us deliver a vibrant and dynamic programme of informal learning.
