We are looking for highly skilled and versatile Accompanists to join our team as we continue our expansion into the South East in Autumn 2026. Successful candidates will be mature and well-rounded with outstanding skills as a piano accompanist. Candidates need to be excellent sight-readers, capable of reading from chord charts and playing by ear.

Working alongside the Musical Director, you will play an active part in creating welcoming, engaging and inclusive choir sessions. You will also support with taking registers and communicating with prisoners and prison staff during and around the sessions.

Sessions will run every week on the same day during weekday business hours (usually between 9:00 am - 12:00 pm or 1:30 - 4:30 pm), with the exact day and time will be confirmed in due course. Each session will last 3 hours inclusive of the time required to enter and leave the prison. Liberty Choir provides paid training to prepare you to work safely and confidently within a prison environment. On completion of a short probation period, Accompanists will be paid £150/session.
