This is a Kickstart opportunity – so it’s only open to young people aged between 16-24 who are currently unemployed and claiming universal credit.

Key tasks
- Support the planning & delivery of online music programmes
- Undertake CPD in apple music practice
- Support data collection: e.g. monitoring and evaluation forms
- Support marketing activities

Support you will receive
- Mentor allocated within the organisation
- Training needs identified and a plan put in place
- Connection with other Kickstart placements
- Weekly check ins and supervisions
- Weekly supervision sessions with their line manager which will include the setting of a personal development plan and a weekly review as to their progress with this, and any other feedback.
- Developing of specific skills in terms of CV writing and interview coaching; signposting to relevant sector job boards and new sites and discussions on the types of roles that would be relevant and appropriate to their skill set.
- We will signpost to HE/FE or work based training courses as and where appropriate. We have a strong network of training providers in place and will be able to broker introduction or secure training with appropriate providers.
- We will support them to develop basic skills in the workplace relevant to the sector such as conduct within a meeting, taking notes, managing yours and other people’s diary, managing your own time, task lists and work plans, working with others and different communication styles when working with different people.
- Each work placement will be allocated a mentor from either within or outside of the organisation.
- Each work placement will have an exit interview with a senior manager. to discuss their experiences as the placement draws to a close.
