Using the Intersectional Lens in Real-World Settings

A practical and reflective online training session exploring how power, bias and intersectionality shape what we see, understand and do in real-world creative, caring and therapeutic practice.

22nd October 5pm - 8:30pm (online)

What might we be missing in the spaces where we support, create and connect with others?
'Using the Intersectional Lens in Real-World Settings' is a practical and reflective online training session hosted by Chiltern Music Therapy for anyone working in creative, caring, health or therapeutic roles, including community musicians, Arts in Health practitioners, music therapists and allied professionals.

Led by Sundesh Hemraj, Founder and Lead Consultant at MindLit Consultancy, the session explores how power, bias, identity and lived experience shape what we notice, assume, understand and do in practice.

Across the three-and-a-half-hour session, participants will explore concepts including power, bias, Social Identity Theory, language and identity, before being introduced to a structured tool to support reflection and purposeful action. The session includes applied learning and breakout/reflection points to help participants connect the learning with their own practice and organisational settings.

Online via Microsoft Teams
£55 – includes live attendance and access to the recording

Recording-only access is also available for those unable to attend live.
