Are you looking to develop, strengthen, or refine your skills in facilitating inclusive music-making?

Sound Practice offers a comprehensive, flexible, and practical training and development pathway, designed to support those working alongside, or those who want to work alongside, Learning Disabled people with complex support needs.

Running from September 2026 to July 2027, across the Sound Practice programme, you will deepen your understanding of inclusive music music-making through 12 specialist modules, all anchored in Soundabout’s unique methodology, and split into two distinct strands:

Part 1: Fundamentals (Modules 1 to 6) – supporting you in developing and deepening your understanding of the theory, principals, and philosophy behind inclusive music-making, through the lens of Soundabout’s unique approach.
Part 2: Further Applications (Modules 7 to 12) – supporting you in developing and refining your confidence in applying these fundamental principals across a range of resources, settings, and age groups.
Running from September 2026 to July 2027, training sessions take place either at The Platform in Swindon, Westonbirt Arboretum in Gloucestershire, or online, via Zoom.

You can choose to join the full programme, or to select and participate in the individual modules most relevant to you.
