This session's topic is principles that underpin person-centred practice, in relation to neurodiversity and mental health. Drawing from lived studio experience and my current book research, the session will focus on practical, ethical approaches that support confidence, flexibility and sustainable inclusion.

This is an interactive session, designed to leave you feeling empowered and inspired. There will be no pressure to share, but an introduction to a different way of working together as a community, reflecting on the key question of what a safe space can look like, for you and your students.

About Abi

Abi is an Inclusive Voice Practitioner, Singing Teacher and Coach with over 23 years’ experience working across professional performance, SEND, PMLD, dementia and palliative care contexts. Abi's work centres on person-centred, neurodiversity-affirming voice practice and the relationship between voice, identity and confidence.

She runs a thriving private studio and delivers training and reflective learning sessions for voice professionals internationally. Over half of her student base is neurodivergent or living with chronic health conditions, shaping a practice rooted in sensitivity, ethical awareness and flexibility.

Abi is currently writing a book exploring inclusive voice work through the lived experiences of her students and clients, presenting a practical framework to support sustainable, confidence-building practice.
