Community Music Leading Discovery Day
19 February 2024
A day of learning, workshops and networking from Sound Sense members Misfits Music and MAC Makes Music

Have you ever considered community music or education as part of your career?

Then join Misfits Music and MAC Makes Music for their Community Music Discovery Day at MAC Birmingham on Monday 19 February, 9.30am - 4pm. On this day you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Learn from experts in the field about the varied career opportunities within community music
  • Find about about some of the settings you could work in e.g. general public, people with a range of disabilities, prisons and more
  • Network with a range of organisations working in community music now
  • Make new connections with other peers who are interested in community music
  • Take part in example workshops with our guest speakers and leaders

Through this one day training we’ll show you how community music can form a great part of a varied portfolio career, or even become your full time job. There is so much opportunity to work in community music, and this field is growing all the time now that funders and the public have started to understand the health and wellbeing benefits of music making.
