The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework covers the standards that schools and childcare providers must meet for the learning, development and care of children from birth to 5. Whether you’re new to early years, you’d like to refresh your memory or you want to catch up on changes to the EYFS, this session with Dr Sharon Colilles will help anyone who’d like to know more about the early years context.

By thinking about how very young children learn you’ll be able to reflect on how to plan musical provision appropriately. We’ll also cover some of the key concepts and key terminology that are necessary for shared understanding when discussing our work with setting staff.

This session will include new updates to the EYFS for 2025.
