A Culture of Care: Culture, Health & Wellbeing Alliance national conference
21 April 2021 - 23 April 2021
Originally planned to be held in Derby, this national conference will now be held online across three days and will include panel discussions, networking opportunities and conversations, ending with the celebratory CHWA 2021 Awards Gathering.

We will be delving into conversations about the big topics that have been amplified by Covid-19, including practitioner support and grappling with the sector’s role in challenging health inequalities, reflecting on how we can work more collaboratively and more intersectionally to address the multiple emergencies we face; a global health pandemic, the climate and ecological emergency, and rising inequality.

With our  2020 event in Derby being cancelled and us moving into a virtual space, we want to shine a spotlight on the great practice happening in the East Midllands, including virtual visits and performances from Baby People, Hubbub Theatre Company, Air Arts, Derby Museums and more…

Confirmed panellists include:

  • Esther Fox (Accentuate)
  • John McMahon (Arts Council England)
  • Prof Helen Chatterjee (UCL)
  • Farhana Yamin (Think & Do Camden)
  • Farah Ahmed (Julie's Bicycle)
  • Hilary Jennings (Happy Museum)
  • Baby J (Baby People)
    Suzy Wilson (Clod Ensemble/Performing Medicine)

>>Tickets cost £50 for freelancers and £100 for smaller organisations. Bursaries are available.
