About me/us:

I initially trained at RWCMD 88-91 flute and composition (Coming through Manchesters system of free music lessons for all) then trained with CMW on a year long tutors certificate course run by Sarah Harman with input from such people as John Stevens and Frankie Armstrong. I've been working in community music since 1993, as well as continuing to compose. I have a book of 40 "All Year Rounds" with accessible riffs - suitable for community choirs, schools - instrumental etc either on Amazon or you can buy direct from me for a nicer finished product. I was commissioned with colleague Joseff Gnagbo to write the Signup Day Anthem for 2023 which was sung in schools around the globe. (Dreams Across the Ocean) I'm a member of the Natural Voice Network and sing regularly with Frankie Armstrong and Pauline Down as the trio Bread and Roses. 8 years ago I begun a project with fellow community artist Tracy Pallant which has over the years become the flourishing Oasis One World Choir. A project that welcomes people who have been displaced from different parts of the world. I'm the MD and we now have people who have come through the project as co facilitators with lived experience of seeking sanctuary. We now run an omens group, a mixed weekly session an evening session for regular members who are studying during the day plus our youth project.
