Safeguarding in Music Education
Date posted: 11 March 2019
Sound Sense is pleased to partner with the Child Protection Company to offer Sound Sense members a comprehensive online learning package

Our team have tested a number of online safeguarding training courses available on the market to make sure Sound Sense members get access to the best possible training, covering the wide range of settings community musicians work in.

Sound Sense recommend combining two courses provided by the Child Protection Company, Safeguarding in Music Education and Introduction to Adult/Child Protection to best cover the needs of the Community Musician.

Safeguarding in Music Education
covers working with children and young people from birth to 18 years of age whilst Introduction to Adult/Child Protection covers working with vulnerable people in a range of settings and ages. Both courses contains plenty of good resources and additional information that you can download and save for reference.

Each course is divided into modules and will take approximately 2 hours to complete. Upon completion of the course the certificate is emailed to you. The certificate is valid for 2 years.

We are able to offer Sound Sense members both courses at discounted prices. The Safeguarding in Music Education course is priced at £27 (original price £34.74 including VAT).

When you sign up for this online course, you can also book the Introduction to Adult/Child Protection course for £15 (original price £27.25 including VAT).
