Are you looking for an opportunity to use your musical skills alongside your teaching/ tutoring experience? Could you share your skills with children?
We are looking for a skilled musician to enthuse and inspire our early years to year 6 pupils, to enrich our curriculum and provide PPA and leadership release for teachers. But we want more than just PPA cover, we really want to enhance the creative aspects of our curriculum so that children are motivated and inspired by a musician who is passionate about their area of interest and whom they would see as a role model. We’re looking for someone with excellent subject knowledge (as well as skills) to help us build a progressive music curriculum that our children would work through from EYFS-Yr6.
This would involve teaching music lessons for EYFS-Year 6 pupils for 3.5 days a week in our dedicated music room with a half day for planning and preparation. We are a two form entry school so this would be 14 lessons per week. There would also be potential for the successful candidate to run their own paid music clubs/ tuition after school and at lunchtimes, in addition to and separate from the school contract.
