The Singing for Health Network is hosting this webinar discussing the beneficial effects of group singing for those living with stroke and alphasia

Join the Singing for Health Network for this online event that will explore the effect of singing on those who have had a brain injury or stroke. 

Meet the panellists:

  • Dr Mark Tarrant is Senior Lecturer in Psychology Applied to Health at University of Exeter, who recently completed a project with the Stroke Association on Singing for People with Aphasia.
  • Laura Cook is Music Therapist for the Bath Aphasia Choir, who carried out her dissertation research on the musical experiences of people with Aphasia.
  • Rebecca Ledgard is Ex Cathedra’s Director of Education. Amongst its many achievements in the world of singing is the Singing Medicine programme, which includes weekly singing sessions in the Stroke Unit at Solihull Hospital.

Free to attend for SFHN members and £5 for non-members.

The session runs from 12-1.30pm and the Zoom joining details will be emailed one hour before the start.
