With the new academic year underway, here at Sound Sense we continue to ask what it means to train, nurture and develop community music practitioners so that they can provide the richest, most beneficial experiences for their participants.

This issue of Sounding Board provides some insight from a range of practitioners and educators, delving into this training and development topic.

Sound Sense chair Jess Abrams introduces our new Training the Community Musician Conversations video series; we speak with Richard Clegg, CEO of one of the UK's longest-running Community Music (CM) training organisations and Rosie Mead of Musica Music shares her experience of training professional and family carers to deliver music making activities with their loved ones living with dementia.
