Little Amber Practitioners will work with families who have a blind or partially sighted child, showing them how to engage their child through music using the Little Amber resources (available online and as a 'deck of cards') through visiting each family four times a year for half day sessions. Practitioners will suggest and model musical strategies to parents/carers to enhance wider development, including social and communication skills, whilst also monitoring the musical and general progress of the child(ren) they are working with.

You should have experience of working with young children and their families through music, and also knowledge of the Sounds of Intent or Sounds of Intent in the Early Years framework, or a willingness to learn about these.

Rate of pay is £100 per half-day session.
