Sound It Out Community Music archive

On 31 August 2012 one of the UK’s leading participatory arts companies closed in its twentieth year of operation. Sound It Out was created in 1992 (as part of Birmingham City of Music by one-time Sound Sense chair Andrew Peggie) and worked with over 10,000 people in disadvantaged communities across Birmingham and the West Midlands, using music as an incredibly effective vehicle to engage the most disadvantaged, isolated and marginalised, and improving the quality of non formal music education in a range of settings.

As a service to a longstanding member, archive material from Sound It Out is being posted here, over time.
