Artists in North East England

GemArts is an arts organisation based in the North East of England profiling and programming new culturally diverse arts. They create and deliver high quality concerts, community events and workshops with regional, national and international artists. The organisation is looking for artists to be involved in a project that will form part of the lead up to the arrival of the Tall Ships in Newcastle in Summer 2005. The project is called 'Journeys End'. Each artist will lead a series of workshops between January and June 2005 within schools in Newcastle. With the use of a culturally diverse art form they would bring out ideas around water, ships and journeys. Send examples of your work to express interest.
